CV - Artist Statement

Sean Sweeney is a contemporary artist born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. He received a BFA from Georgia State University. Sean develops his artistic practice by referencing traditional painting techniques along with elements found in film photography to create a unique perspective through the use of airbrush. 

"My paintings reflect the world as I see it through my nearsighted perspective and personal experiences. Primarily working with airbrush, I use a combination of photograph and memory to juxtapose and breathe life into my work. Through the additional incorporation of resin and found objects, I aim to provide further context and enhance the intriguing sense of photorealism."
